CHIROPRACTIC CARE CAN HELP PREVENT INJURIES
Scientific research highlights the broad impact of chiropractic care on health and function. One study focused on the muscle function responsible for stabilizing the body, particularly the core muscles. In a group of 90 healthy students, 17 couldn't pre-activate their abdominal muscles before arm movement, making them more injury-prone. Chiropractic assessments revealed that they had pelvic joint tightness and restrictions, known as subluxations.
After receiving chiropractic care, these students showed an impressive 40% improvement in their ability to pre-activate their core abdominal muscles. Notably, these students had no pre-existing pain, but their poor core muscle control could predispose them to future injuries or pain.
Research has shown that people with low back pain often exhibit delayed activation of core abdominal muscles during various movements, and their brains lack awareness of their lower back. This disconnect between the brain and the body forces the brain to guess about the situation, potentially leading to inadequate lower back control and further damage.
Chiropractic care plays a crucial role in restoring effective communication between the brain and the body, ensuring that the brain accurately perceives and controls the body, promoting optimal function and overall well-being.
